Membership FAQ's

If we got a dollar every time someone told us "I got a massage once but it didn't do much", we wouldn't need to sell anything.

It's hard to imagine how people survive without bodywork. We get it on a regular basis and we still have occasional aches and pains. Our lifestyles are more sedentary than ever and we don't spend hardly anytime exercising, stretching or doing anything for our musculoskeletal system. It's no wonder 10% of people 20-39 take over the counter or prescription pain medication EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. That jumps to 15% in people 40-50 and almost 20% for people 55+ older.

I think those numbers are even higher than that. Majority of new clients tell us they take a OTC's to deal with pain, tension, headaches, etc. and even more take some sort of pill to help them sleep. In 2017, health care providers across the US wrote more than 191 million prescriptions for opioid pain medication—a rate of 58.7 prescriptions per 100 people.

We forgot that while these pills can offer acute relief and are sometimes the only choice, prolonged use of any medication puts stress on the liver and other organs and with the overprescription of opioids, we're heading the wrong way fast.

Most of our aches and pains can be alleviated with proper nutrition, movement, stretching and quality sleep. While we can't help meal prep for you, massage can help with the other issues.

Getting a massage on a regular basis helps...

  • reduce muscle tension + pain

  • improves circulation

  • stimulates the lymphatic system

  • reduces stress hormones

  • increases joint mobility + flexibility

  • improves recovery of soft tissue injuries

  • relieves tension headaches

  • lowers blood pressure

  • improves sleep

In fact, getting a one hour Swedish massage has shown to be the equivalent of a good nights sleep. So if you ever have a restless night, book a massage to get yourself back on track.

And just like everything else- you need to do it on a regular basis in order for it to work.

That's why we offer memberships. It seems to be the best way to keep bodywork on your to do list because you have a place to get the work you need when you need it and at a price you can manage. Most places charge so much for bodywork, it's no wonder you only get one once a year or for Mother's Day!

Because we know you need more than one a month to get the most out of bodywork, we offer three different levels depending on your need, starting at only $19.99 a month!

We charge a monthly fee and there are no contracts. Your monthly membership fee gets you $15-$20 off 30, 60, 75 + 90 minute massages plus FREE service add-ons for every session. You'll also get 10% off every service on our menu as well as a special member's only menu + 10% off all retail purchases.

You get an invoice every month and if you pay it, you can enjoy your benefits. Don't pay it and you lose member pricing. You can also move up or down depending on your time + resources. We offer an introductory buy one month, get one month 50% off so you can experience body work on a regular basis to see the difference it makes in your body + mind.

We have 5 therapists available and while we all have our speciality's- we know that you'll have a great session with anyone you book with. So if you have your favorite, we recommend scheduling at each session and for your in between sessions, try other therapists so you can experience some new movements in your body.

Speaking of movement, we have yoga classes available to get you moving. We offer small + members only classes in our private courtyard. If you're new to stretching, stepping into a studio can be intimidating. A couple of our therapists are also yoga instructors which helps them know which movements you can incorporate to address the issues they work with you while on the table.

And again, moving on a regular basis is the only way to get the benefits so our classes are $5 for members.

We're constantly adding more to your membership so you'll be updated each time we add something. Massage is more than time to rejuvenate your body, it also gives you a mental break. The time on the table is for you. And at Ruby Sun, you can take extra time before or after your session to come in, unwind and get ready to relax!

We would love to talk one on one so if you'd like to set up a membership consultation, let us know and we'd be more than happy to help!
